Rollgum Joining Tape 76mm (3") x 30.5m Roll
- Used in the installation of EPDM liners where two pieces meet to bind them together to create a waterproof join
- Double sided butyl adhesive for easy and convenient installation
- When joining Rollgum liner both liner surfaces must first be coated with primer (using paint brush) to set off the chemical bonding process and rolled on with a seam rolling tool. Easy!
- When joining other EPDM liner (Aquatough, Firestone, Elevate) both liner surfaces must first be scuffed with a scrubbing tool then coated with primer to set off the chemical bonding process and rolled on with a seam rolling tool.
What is a Rollgum Joining Tape?
Rollgum joining tape is used during the installation of EPDM liners for ponds, dams, and other water systems. It is designed specifically to interact with the Rollgum primer to create waterproof bonds between the various lengths of liner.
Why is Joining Tape Important
When it comes to attaching sheets of EPDM liner together, other forms of tape just aren’t going to cut it. Rollgum joining tape is specially formulated to bond with the adhesive. It’s vitally important that a liner remains waterproof at all times as without this shield, you risk your water leaking into the ground beneath and becoming contaminated.

How To Use Your Rollgum Joining Tape
Applying your Rollgum pond liner joining tape during installation is quite straightforward; however, there are a couple of considerations that you will need to be aware of when using it.
Firstly, both sheets that you intend to connect together will need to be coated in Rollgum primer before you place the tape down. This is to activate the chemical bonding process which will help the tape create an impenetrable, waterproof seal.
And while it is possible to use Rollgum tape on other EPDM liners (Aquatough, Firestone), these products will not have that in-built chemical reaction. As a result, you’ll need to scuff the liner sheets first to allow the primer to work.
You can further complete the bonding process by using the Rollgum detailing roller for precise seam connections.

Can I use other types of tape to connect my liner sheets?
You can use other types of tape. However, we always recommend using Rollgum joining tape as it has been specifically manufactured to interact with other Rollgum products. For example, Rollgum tape will bond with the Rollgum adhesive to create the exceptional watertight and waterproof connections which are essential for a successful liner installation.
What happens if I don’t use the primer before taping?
Without the primer to activate the chemical reaction on the liner’s surface, your Rollgum joining tape will not be able to interact with the bonding process that makes Rollgum EPDM liners so effective. You will still be able to tape and connect your sheets, but you run a much higher risk of imperfections and leakages.
Do you offer different widths of tape?
We only offer Rollgum joining tape with these dimensions as we feel the width of the tape is an ideal sweet spot for creating the waterproof connections you’ll need in your pond or dam liner.
Do you provide free shipping?
Yes - we provide free shipping to around 95% of Australian locations. There are some remote rural and island postcodes where we may need to apply additional shipping costs prior to dispatch. In these instances, we will notify you prior to dispatching.

Although rare, in this situation we will need to manually add the additional shipping costs prior to dispatch. If this is the case, we will contact you prior to sending the order and billing you an additional amount.

Return
Returns
Goods purchased from Love My Dam are unable to be returned without first reaching out to us and requesting a return. Unfortunately, returns cannot be made for pond and dam liners. No returns can be accepted unless a copy of the purchase invoice is enclosed with the returned item/s. Along with the goods and invoice, please include a list of the goods to be returned, including the product description, quantity, date of return and the customer’s name and address. The items must be returned in the original packaging. Freight charges for returns must be paid by the customer. The customer is responsible for any damage incurred during return shipment. We are only able to issue a credit note after the goods have been successfully returned.
Change of Mind
A request to return goods (except pond and dam liners) because of a change of mind must be made within 7 days of delivery, unless otherwise agreed. Freight charges must be paid by the customer for all change of mind returns.
Cancellation
No cancellation or partial cancellation of an order by the customer can be accepted by Love My Dam unless first consented in writing. Sometimes a cancellation charge will need to be paid by the customer. Cancellations cannot be accepted on goods that are not regular stock which are in the process of manufacture or ready for shipment.
Complaints
All complaints, claims, or notification of lost goods, incomplete goods, damaged goods, or goods that do not comply with your purchase order must be submitted to us in writing within 48 hours of the date of delivery. The exception is pond and dam liners which must be submitted to us immediately on receipt of the products. Otherwise, we will consider you to have accepted the items.
