Application / Instructions

Preparation

• Remove excess floating debris and check that your dam water level and aeration are stable.

• Wear gloves when applying Algae Lift, as it’s a hydrogen peroxide–based product.

Apply Algae Lift (10kg)

• Do not handle the product with bare hands. Avoid inhaling dust.

• Using a plastic scoop or by gently tipping the container on its side, scatter Algae Lift directly over the mats of algae on the water surface or submerged areas.

• You’ll notice algae beginning to lift and peel away within minutes as the peroxide oxidises the surface growth.

Apply Biostim Accelerator (5L)

• Once Algae Lift has been applied, pour the Biostim Accelerator evenly across the dam surface. 

• It enhances microbial breakdown of decaying algae and organic material, helping to prevent sludge build-up and nutrient recycling.

Allow time for lifting & breakdown

• As algae detach and float up, skim or remove large clumps if practical.

• Allow 24 hours for water clarity to improve as the peroxide reaction dissipates and the microbial community activates.

Apply Biostim Pellets (10kg)

• The following day, scatter Biostim Pellets across the dam so they sink to the floor.
• These dissolve slowly, releasing beneficial bacteria that digest sludge and consume nutrients that fuel future algae blooms.

Ongoing management

• Keep aeration systems running to maintain oxygen and support bacterial activity.

• Manage nutrient inputs — reduce runoff, fertiliser drift, and livestock access where possible.

• Re-treat with Biostim Pellets monthly to keep algae at bay.

FAQs

Q: How quickly will I see results?
A: For visible underwater algae, you should see lifting of attached growth within minutes and more dramatic results within 24 hours. Full clarity and reduction of recurring risk will take several weeks as microbial populations establish.

Q: Is this safe for fish, stock and wildlife?
A: Yes, Algae Lift is safe if applied following the label guidelines. Hydrogen peroxide is hazardous when very concentrated, it burns skin etc, but it breaks down to hydrogen and oxygen immediately. So its chemical free. As long as you don't over dose, and you keep it away from areas where aquatic life are, it is safe to use. Biostim is 100% natural and safe for fish, livestock, pets and wildlife. 

Q: What if my algae issue is only on the surface, not underwater?
A: If you have floating mats or surface scums only, you may wish to consider the “Surface Algae Attack Bundle” instead. 

Q: How often should I re-treat?
A: We recommend adding a little bit more Biostim Pellets each month. This keeps the "good" bacteria populations healthy, meaning they can do their job competing with the algae.
