DeSkuzzer 2.0—Remove Aquatic Weeds, Algae and Debris from the Surface of Dams

The DeSkuzzer (2.0), made in the USA, is the fastest and most effective tool for manually clearing floating aquatic weeds, filamentous algae and organic debris from the surface of your dam, lake or pond. It is particularly good at clearing azolla, duckweed and string algae. The tool makes easy to clear the surface of your water, whether you want to tidy up a swimming area, reduce congestion near pumps/filters, or even perform a full waterbody surface clean.

Remove floating aquatic weeds

The DeSkuzzer is a great tool for manually clearing floating aquatic weeds like Duckweed and Bladderwort from the surface of your dam or pond. Simply drag the DeSkuzzer across the surface, scooping up what is cut, then manually dump what is collected and repeat the process. Make sure you clean up all the weed debris that doesn’t end up in the scoop the first time around, otherwise these fragments can become the source of new aquatic weeds.

Clear filamentous algae

The DeSkuzzer can also be used to clear filamentous algae (the algae that looks like hair which you can pick up and often even take out of the water without it falling apart). Simply drag the DeSkuzzer across the surface of your dam or pond to scoop up the algae then manually dump it before scooping again. Keep in mind the algae will return unless you aerate the water or treat it with a probiotic.

Remove debris

The DeSkuzzer is also a great tool for tidying debris from the surface of dams and ponds. Drag it across the surface to collect leaves, sticks, insects… anything floating on the surface of your water. Manually dump what’s in the scoop and repeat the process.
