What’s in the Natural Dam Kickstarter Bundle?

The Natural Dam Kickstarter bundle is made up of three of our Biostim products: Biostim Powder, Biostim Accelerator, and Biostim Pellets. Find out more about each product below.

• Biostim Powder: The Biostim Powder is dropped into your dam in water-soluble bags that dissolve quickly and allow the powder to get to work. The powder can reach an entire water column and get to work fast. While some of the powder will settle on the dam’s floor, the rest can move through the column, stimulating the good bacteria.
• Biostim Accelerator: Our Biostim Accelerator is a biocatalyst that works to speed up the whole process. It enhances the efforts of the Biostim Powder and Pellets, making sure the natural processes work quickly to rebalance your dam.
• Biostim Pellets: Biostim Pellets will settle on the dam floor. They’re more slow-acting but can embed themselves into the sludge layer on your dam floor and dissolve slowly over a few weeks.

How Does the Natural Dam Kickstarter Work?

So, how do each of these probiotic-based products work to make your dam look a little more vibrant?

1. First, the Biostim Powder is dropped into the dam as the first attack. The powder will disperse through the dam, stimulating bacterial growth. These bacteria can then begin breaking down decaying matter, amino acids, and organic waste, helping get rid of debris that’s making your dam look a little lacklustre.
2. The powder also settles on the floor of the dam. A layer of sludge here can act as somewhat of a fertiliser for algae and aquatic weeds, so breaking down this layer quickly is of the utmost importance.
3. On top of the powder, the Biostim Pellets can be dropped throughout the dam, ready to embed themselves in the sludge. While the powder works quickly throughout the dam, this concentrated attack on the dam’s floor is slower, as the pellets take a few weeks to break down. This means that for a few weeks after your initial attack, these pellets are working at stimulating bacteria to break down the sludge and cut off the food supply for weeds and algae at the source.
4. The Biostim Accelerator, added with the other two products, simply acts to ensure both of these products get to work as quickly and efficiently as possible.
