Clearwater Flocculant
Clearwater Flocculant clears your water of inorganic content, e.g. sand, soil, silt etc, through the process of floccing. The flocculant introduces an opposing ionic charge to the suspended particles in your water causing them to clump together and sink to the bottom. Flocculant can also bind and sink phosphorus from the water column making it unavailable for algal growth. Note: floccing doesn’t always work. It can be hit and miss depending on many factors. Biostim Liquid
Biostim Liquid clears your water of decaying organic material that causes cloudiness. It is the fastest acting probiotic in the Biostim range. The solution spreads quickly through your entire water column and wakes the microbes up. These “good” microbes actively produce enzymes, speeding up the breakdown of organic waste. This brings clarity to water that has a lot of organic content in it, e.g. decaying leaves, branches, duck poo, dead insects and other aquatic organisms, including microorganisms.

Many things can cause muddy or turbid water, but ultimately, the result is sold particles floating in your water that leave you with muddy or dirty water. Muddy water treatments often include a process called floccing, and our bundle includes products to help you with just that.
What’s in the Muddy Water Be Gone Bundle?
The Muddy Water Be Gone treatment bundle includes two of our products: Clearwater Flocculant and Biostim Liquid. We’ll explain what each of these products does below.
- Clearwater Flocculant: This product is designed to clear your water of the mud, soil, sand, silt, and other suspended materials that are currently causing problems in your water body. Flocculants introduce an opposing ionic charge into the water, which causes the fine particles in your water to clump together and stick to the bottom. Flocculant is often used in wastewater treatment. When used at the appropriate dose rate, the Clearwater Flocculant product is entirely safe for water bodies frequented by animals, wildlife, fish, and aquatic plants.
- Biostim Liquid: Our Biostim range uses probiotics to help rebalance the ecosystem in your treated water. The liquid product is introduced to your muddy water and will disperse, introducing good microbes and helping to speed up the breakdown of organic waste.
A Note on Floccing
Floccing is a common aspect of the industrial wastewater treatment process and in the process of purifying drinking water, and can be used to purify muddy water. However, it does not always work.
Many factors impact whether floccing is the right water treatment process for you, including the kind of solid particles you have in your muddy water and whether they are inorganic or organic matter. Flocculants may also be used in combination with coagulants depending on the charge and chemical composition of the water in question.
Floccing is usually only suitable for muddy water caused by inorganic material, like sand, silt, and other solid particles. For cloudy water, which is made of organic material, Biostim is a more suitable water treatment.

How the Bundle Works for Muddy Water in Your Dam
So, how does the Muddy Water Be Gone bundle help you to get rid of your muddy water issue?
- The Clearwater Flocculant product is added to your dam to help clump solid particles together and clear the look of muddy water. In addition to clearing solid particles, this floccing can also clump together phosphorus to make it an unviable source of food for algal growth.
- Once the clumps have formed in your water, our Biostim Liquid will work to feed the microbes that break down organic waste, like branches, leaves, duck poo, dead insects, and dead aquatic organisms.
- Both products work together to remove suspended particles and ensure that no chemical treatment is needed. Both products are safe for use in dams where animals may be around and won’t harm the balance of the ecosystem either.
